Portland painter Rae Mahaffey is known for compositions rich in layers of pattern and color. Her paintings are uniquely abstract and architectural. In addition to her paintings Rae makes prints and works with fused glass. 

She has completed public art commissions for the Oregon Convention Center, the new Tigard Public Library in Oregon, and for a fire station / community center outside Denver.  She is currently working on a large-scale painting for Columbia Basin College, in Pasco, Washington.
